Ira Caplan

Ira graduated Magna Cum Laude from Penn State University with an Honors Degree in History. He has worked as a Personal Growth Facilitator and Health Consultant for S.T.E.P. Program in Scottsdale, AZ and an array of personal clients. He is also an accomplished Songwriter in Los Angeles, and has released several cd's, including Behind the Shadows, Ghost of Apollo and Father's Day.

Ira first got involved with Voices of MS in 2004, after perceiving a strong correlation between the challenges that MS patients faced and those that exist in a wide spectrum of spiritual and holistic health practices, including even his own Jewish heritage. "When I saw the DVD, I realized that Voices of MS was speaking to much more than the cycles of experience that MS Patients have to confront and learn to traverse. It was speaking to fundamental endeavors of the human spirit."

Ira has been involved with Voices of MS since 2004, and has been instrumental in helping the inspiration and vision of the DVD to reach a wider, general public.

The Voices of MS video documentary showcases eighteen members of the MS community who describe what it is like to live with multiple sclerosis and how they have learned to cope with its effects. The range of discussion covers such topics as the ordeal of diagnosis, the response of denial, the dilemma of public disclosure, the challenge of picking up the pieces of a disrupted life, the treatment of symptoms, and the triumph of a life-affirming inner resolve that enables healing to take place.
